Late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala has a dedicated fan following till date, with his popularity growing even more as fans now consider him a legend. The power of his songs most recently was seen when a young fan undergoing surgery was being played Sidhu Moosewala¡¯s song to help calm his nerves.
Three-year-old grooves to Moosewala's songs during surgery
Shubhdarshan Singh, a three-year-old from Baghapurana town in Moga, had an accident where a car ran over his foot. He was taken to a private hospital in Jagraon near Ludhiana for treatment, as he suffered a fracture that required surgery.
Dr. Divyanshu Gupta, the orthopaedic surgeon attending to him, said speaking to Hindustan Times that the child was anxious and crying but also talkative.
Despite being given local anaesthesia to numb the foot, he was still apprehensive about the surgery.
To ease his nerves, the medical team engaged him in conversation and asked if he wanted to listen to his favorite singer.
The boy requested Sidhu Moosewala's songs, which were then played on a mobile phone during the 25-minute surgery.
Throughout the procedure, the child remained occupied and even started dancing to the music, making the environment more relaxed.
The surgeon added, "Soon, he was comfortable with the environment and started grooving to the songs by raising his hands as though he were doing Bhangra lying on the operation table."
The medical staff also joined in, performing dance steps to keep him distracted. As a result, the surgery was completed successfully, and the plaster cast was applied without any complications.
