BJP Marches Ahead In UP Uttrakhand, Congress Consolidates In Punjab & Goa, AAP Bites The Dust
BJP has won in 8 seats and has a lead in 300 giving them all the reasons to cheer. The nearest challenger the SP- Congress is nowhere near the halfway mark of 202. Punjab however is going the Congress way a comeback for the party after ten years. In Uttrakhand after 10 years of being in power the Congress is on its way out. Even chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar tasting defeat in Goa.
It is a saffron Holi for the BJP, as the party is all set to walk away with the big prize - Uttar Pradesh.

The party which has been leading the polls right from the beginning has further consolidated its lead. BJP has won in 8 seats and has a lead in 300 giving them all the reasons to cheer. Punjab, however, is going the Congress way, a comeback for the party after ten years. The party has won 11 seats so far and has a lead in 64. The AAP which many had predicted to win the state is trailing second with wins in two seats, and leading in 21. The ruling SAD-BJP is currently at third position with just one seat, and lead in 18.

In Uttrakhand, after ten years of being in power the Congress is on its way out. The party has won just a single seat, and leads in 11. The BJP which is leading the polls have already bagged 11 leads in 44.

In Goa, the BJP has suffered a setback with even chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar tasting defeat. The Congress is leading with 9 wins and leading in one. The results are disastrous for AAP. From a position where they were, ones said to form the next government the party has ended up failing to even open their account.
Manipur continues to swing between the BJP and Congress. The BJP has a lead in 9 and won 7, the Congress has won 9 seat and leads in 9.
However, the big story from the state is Irom Sharmila. The activist in her electoral debut could not even win a hundred votes.
