A video shared by the Chinese state-sponsored media in which the People's Liberation Army (PLA) can be seen unfurling the Chinese flag at the Galwan Valley has stirred a row with the Opposition mounting for 'answers' from the government.

However, it is unclear in which part of the valley the video has been shot.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at PM Modi saying that "only the tricolour suits the Galwan valley" and that China must be given a befitting reply.
Gandhi asked PM Modi to ¡°break the silence¡± over Chinese ¡°incursions¡± in the Galwan region.

Earlier, Gandhi had sought to corner the government after China ¡±renamed¡± 15 places in Arunachal Pradesh.
¡°Just a few days back we were remembering India¡¯s glorious victory in 1971. For the security and victory of the country, wise and strong decisions are needed. Hollow words do not win,¡± he had said on Twitter on Friday.
Congress spokesperson Gourav Vallabh had hit out at the government saying that while China was renaming places in Arunachal Pradesh and setting up villages in Indian territory, the government was still carrying on with 100-billion-dollar trade with China. He alleged that in the last 19 months, the Indian reaction to Chinese aggression has been to remain silent.
A day after China renamed 15 places in Arunachal Pradesh, India said that ¡°invented names¡± did not change the fact that the state has been and always will be an integral part of India, PTI reported.
China claims that Arunachal Pradesh is ¡°South Tibet¡± ¨C an area that falls under its administrative control. Last year, the country had said that it did not recognise Arunachal Pradesh as a part of India.
¡°This is not the first time China has attempted such a renaming of places in the state of Arunachal Pradesh,¡± External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said. ¡°China had also sought to assign such names in April 2017.¡±
In November, there were reports of China setting up a cluster of buildings in Arunachal Pradesh. The buildings are located about 6 km within India, in the region between the Line of Actual Control and the International Boundary.
