Cow Science Exam May Be Postponed, But An NGO Is Launching A Cow Cuddling Centre In Haryana

The exact reason for the postponement of the online exam that has been criticized for promoting superstitions as science is still unclear. The RKA has cited administrative reasons for it and said a new date will be announced soon.

The exact reason for the postponement of the online exam that has been criticized for promoting superstitions as science is still unclear but the RKA has cited ¡°administrative reasons¡± for it and said a new date will be announced soon.
Even as the debate over 'cow science' continues, an NGO in Gurugram is all set to open its cow cuddling centre.
The Kamdhenu Gowdham and Arogya Sansthan will open their cow cuddling centre in Tauru, Haryana on Sunday.
According to the NGO, cow cuddling is a prevalent practice in several foreign countries including the US, Netherland, Switzerland and the UK.
It said that the cow-cuddling method includes touching the cow-mother, hugging it, sitting with support, caressing its body and breathing with it.
This, the NGO, which is led by retired IAS officer and ex-Chairman of Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) SP Gupta said that will help in curing several lifestyle and other diseases.
¡°From this, not only respiratory diseases, blood pressure, spinal pain, heart problems, depression and TB are cured but also, according to psychologists, by this medical practice the sadness, anxiety, all kinds of tensions are cured, mind becomes healthier and there happens to be increase in confidence of human beings,¡± it said in a release.
Other therapeutic benefits the NGO claims cow cuddling has include: hugging of a cow could help normalise breathing and hence reduce stress. Further, it is because of the low heart rates of the cow and the temperature of the body being high, a person taking the therapy feels calm and serene.
It also goes on to state that some in foreign countries, cow-cuddling is referred to as cow-munication which means communicating with the cow-mother and as much as Rs 22,000 could be charged in the US for 90-minute cow cuddling therapy.
Cow cuddling, koe knuffelen¡± in Dutch (means cow hugging) has caught up in other parts of the world and according to some reports is the world's new wellness trend.
Some studies have said that cow cuddling may promote positivity and reduce stress by boosting oxytocin in humans, the hormone released in social bonding. The calming effects of curling up with a pet or emotional support animal, it seems, are accentuated when cuddling with larger mammals.
