At CRPF Headquarters' Site In South Delhi, 6-year-old Boy Killed In 'Human Sacrifice To God'
Police said the accused, Vijay Kumar (19) and Amar Kumar (22), were under the influence of drugs when they allegedly slit the boy¡¯s neck and stabbed him in the head. Both the accused have been arrested.
In a shocking incident, a 6-year-old boy was allegedly killed by two men in South Delhi's Lodhi Colony on Saturday night in what they claimed was a "sacrifice on the orders of God".
According to Delhi Police, the incident took place on Saturday night at the construction site of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) headquarters in the posh Lodhi Colony area.
Accused were under the influence of drugs
Police said the accused, Vijay Kumar (19) and Amar Kumar (22), were under the influence of drugs when they allegedly slit the boy¡¯s neck and stabbed him in the head. Both the accused have been arrested.
The accused hailed from Bihar and worked as cement cutters at the site. The boy lived with his parents at the site, where they also work as labourers. The family, which had reached Delhi from UP¡¯s Bareilly about a month ago, said it was busy with Durga Puja festivities when the incident took place.
What police & boy's parents said
DCP (South) Chandan Choudhary said: "We found that the accused called the boy, who knew them, to their shed's kitchen around 10.30 pm and killed him with a weapon."
Police said the accused were ¡°disoriented¡± when they were caught as they had allegedly ¡°consumed smack/ ganja¡±. They later allegedly said they wished to ¡°please¡± the gods.
The boy's parents said that they were looking for their missing son when they found blood coming out of the accused house. They thought the accused were slaughtering a hen but when they went in, they found them pushing their son¡¯s body under a cot. They said they boy died on the spot.
They were caught by other labourers, CRPF personnel
The incident came to light when Delhi Police got a PCR call in the early hours of Sunday at Lodhi Colony that the throat of a 6-year-old boy was slit by two men at an under-construction building. Police personnel rushed to the spot and arrested the two accused who were already caught by other labourers and CRPF personnel on the duty.
