The significance behind this gesture lies in the story of Sarika's father, the late CRPF Constable Rakesh Kumar Meena, who made the ultimate sacrifice for his nation. Constable Rakesh Kumar Meena, serving with the 168 Bn, lost his life valiantly fighting Naxals in Bijapur District, Chhattisgarh, on May 8, 2010. Despite his absence, his spirit resonated strongly throughout the wedding ceremony, as his comrades stood in solidarity with his family.
