After Thursday's Mess, Delhi Gears Up For Jams On Borders From Tuesday; Check Traffic Advisory
According to the advisory, traffic restrictions and diversions will be implemented at the Singhu border from February 12 for commercial vehicles and from February 13 for all vehicle types.
Ahead of the scheduled farmers' protest at the borders of Delhi-Haryana and Delhi-Uttar Pradesh on February 13, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory to ensure the seamless traffic flow in the National Capital Region (NCR).
To fortify the national capital, authorities have barricaded the border areas and deployed more than 5,000 security personnel. The farmers, hailing from Bathinda, have departed for Delhi to participate in the 'Delhi-Chalo' march.
Their primary demand is the enactment of a law guaranteeing a minimum support price (MSP), a condition they had set when agreeing to withdraw their agitation against the now-repealed farm laws in 2021.
