Donja village in 2017
Later in 2017, Tendulkar adopted the Donja village in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna.
Tendulkar also sanctioned over Rs 4 crore from his MPLAD fund for the development of Donja. The amount was to be spent on the development of a new school building, a water supply scheme that would provide potable water to each household, concrete roads and a sewage line attached to the same.
Tendulkar had also emphasised addressing the issue of potable water since the entire region of Osmanabad has been facing a drought over the last couple of years.
