FIR Against Pub Owner For Negligence After Fire In Mumbai's Kamala Mills Compound Kills 14
The fire broke out shortly after midnight on the third floor of the four-storey building on Senapati Bapat Marg. Most of the victims of the fire were women including a 28-year-old who was celebrating her birthday at the ill fated building. According to the doctors most of them died of suffocation from the smoke.
An FIR has been registered against the owner of the pub in Mumbai's Kamala Mills Compound after the building was gutted in a blaze resulting the death of at least 14 people.
The case has been filed under the charges of culpable homicide under section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

19 others were also injured in the fire which broke out on the top floor of a building in Lower Parel during a birthday celebration of Thursday night.

Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control by 3 am.
According to the official, the cause of the fire remains to be ascertained.
