Hyperloop To Reduce Mumbai-Pune Travel Time To 15 Mins, Maharashtra Govt Signs Agreement
Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority PMRDA has signed a memorandum of understanding MoU with Hyperloop One a Los Angeles-based company on Wednesday. The deal was signed with the Virgin Hyperloop d for exploring the possibility of connecting Mumbai and Pune with hyperloop transportation system.
Believe it or not, your commute time between Mumbai and Pune could come down from three hours to 15 minutes. All hail technology!

According to Mumbai Mirror report, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hyperloop One, a Los Angeles- based company, on Wednesday.

The new transport system could also streamline airport connectivity, such as connecting Pune¡¯s new Purandar Airport to the city center or Navi Mumbai International Airport to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

Fadnavis said, "Hyperloop is the future of Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS) developed for demands of the 21st century. It requires high density traffic for becoming viable means of rapid public transport, which is available between Pune and Mumbai."
