Man Had His Two Phones Stolen At Jama Masjid, Here Is How He Recovered Them
A Delhi man managed to track down and recover two stolen phones. The phones had been taken from him at the historic Indian capital. The thief had fled with the phones in his hand.
Phones and wallets are among the riskiest things to be carried in a crowded area. One moment of carelessness and before you know it, some snatcher has already flown with it and disappeared into the crowd.
And in most cases, that is it... Even if you pursue them or file a police complaint it is highly unlikely that you will ever get it back.
Ignored warnings about theft
But a Delhi man managed to track down and recover two phones that were stolen from him at the historic Jama Masjid.
According to a social media user, Tech Star Shahrukh he lost two phones, an iPhone 13 and a Xiaomi Civi 2 at Jama Masjid in April 2023.
Shahrukh said that he and his wife had carried three phones, an iPhone 13 a Xiaomi Civi 2 and a Redmi K50 Ultra which were kept in his side bag.

This, he said was despite the announcement warning about thieves and his wife's insistence that she would carry the bag.
Phones stolen in crowd
But as he was exiting from Jama Masjid through Gate No. 1, he noticed that the bag's chain was opened and two of the phones were missing.
Though he tried to seek help shouting "thieves, someone took my phone," passersby and even the security guard just reminded him about the announcement.
Failed attempts to track iPhone
Though disheartened, Shahrukh tried to track his lost phones using the one he still had left. Initially, this failed as the iPhone was switched off and couldn't be tracked.
However, the Xiaomi Civi 2 was still on and when Shahrukh tried calling the number, someone picked it and said "I am just behind you" before hanging up.
"Then I remembered that I had done some settings in Xiaomi CIVI 2 And because of that the thieves couldn't turn off the Smartphone and they can't even turn off Data or Put phone in Flight Mode," Shahrukh stated.
How a phone setting came handy
After logging into his wife's account, Shahrukh was able to track the phone, which was still within the Jama Masjid.
He then played the alarm on the phone, which the snatcher couldn't turn off due to the settings. After some more trying someone picked up the call and told Shahrukh that he could pick it up from Gate No 2.
'Found them on the ground'
Shahrukh reached the spot and located the guy who returned both phones while claiming that he found them somewhere on the ground.
When I met him he returned both of my phones.

Civi 2 as Well as iPhone 13.
Civi 2 was still sounding Alarm.
He told me that he found my phone somewhere on the ground.
I took my phone and thanked him and didn't question him much.
I asked him If I could do anything for him??
While Shahrukh believes that the person who gave his phone could have been the snatcher himself, he was just happy to have them back.
