The Illinois middle school student is the inventor of ReThink, a software program that recognizes when users enter phrases often used to cyber-bully into a text-box and displays a pop-up window asking the writer to reconsider.
Trisha says the idea came up to her mind following the the tragic death of a young girl due to bullying on the Internet in 2013.
She felt something different should be done to end this and two years later the teenage tech-genius has her own software ready to fight bullying online.
The app is currently available on the Google Play store and should be available to Apple devices soon.
According to studies, shows that over 50% of adolescents online are cyberbullied and 38% suffer from suicidal tendencies. Victims suffer from depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem, and are afraid to go to school the following day¡±, says Trisha.
