This major infrastructure project is set to transform road travel in Maharashtra by cutting the travel time between Mumbai and Nagpur from 16 hours to just 8 hours. The expressway is also known as Samruddhi Mahamarg and is one of the longest and fastest highways in India.

With the opening of the final 76-km stretch between Igatpuri (Nashik) and Amane (Thane), travelers will now be able to cover the 701-km distance at high speeds of up to 150 km/h. This drastically reduces the previous travel time and makes road travel more comfortable.

The expressway features three major interchanges located at:
