"My Father's Spirit Will Remain Alive", Says Daughter Of Slain Kashmiri Pandit Businessman
Dr. Shraddha Bindroo, the daughter of Makhan Lal Bindroo, a Kashmiri Pandit businessman who was shot dead by terrorists in Srinagar on Tuesday evening has said that the spirit of her father will live on.

"He is a Kashmiri Pandit, he will never die. You can just kill the body. Makhan Lal Bindroo will be alive in the spirit," Shraddha said on Wednesday.
She also challenged the gunman who killed her father to face her for a debate.
"Come and debate with us"
"Mister, who shot my father dead while he was working, if you have the guts and courage, come and have a face-to-face debate with us. Then we will see what you are. You won't be able to utter a word. All you can do is throw stones, and shoot bullets from behind," she said.

68-year-old Bindroo, the owner of Bindroo Medicate, was shot at by the assailants from point-blank range while he was at his pharmacy, dispensing medicines.
Bindroo was one of the few in his community who did not migrate out of Kashmir at the onset of militancy in 1990. He stayed back along with his wife to continue operating his business, which was a trusted name for quality medicines.
He is survived by his wife, and two children.

Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir.
"What terrible news! He was a very kind man. I have been told he never left during the height of militancy and remained with his shop open. I condemn this killing in the strongest possible terms and convey my heartfelt condolences to his family. God bless his soul," tweeted Abdullah.

"No words are strong enough to condemn the cowardly and barbaric attack on owner of Bindroo Medicate in which he lost his life. May his soul rest in peace. We express our sympathies with the bereaved family," Jammu Kashmir National Conference said in a tweet.
Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti also condemned the killing of the businessman in Srinagar.
"Condemn the killing of Shri M L Bindroo who chose to stay back in Kashmir even during peak of insurgency. Such acts of violence have no place in our society. May his family find the strength to deal with this loss," tweeted Mehbooba Mufti.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the latest attacks, on Tuesday, which saw three civilians being killed in a matter of hours, in separate incidents.
