Now You Can Sail Aboard India¡¯s First Luxury Cruise ¡®Angriya¡¯ To Reach Goa From Mumbai

Sea lovers in India do not have many options available when it comes to sea rides. Usually short-distance government ferry rides operate between popular tourist spots but a grand cruise experience is still a far-flung dream for many.
With the induction of all-new, lavish cruise ¡®Angriya¡¯, riders can now enjoy a spectacular view of the western waters from Mumbai to Goa. The newly refurbished cruise started its operations on October 20 and also happens to be India¡¯s first luxury cruise.

The idea behind starting a cruise ride is to push cruise tourism to earn large revenues. Mumbai, Chennai and Kochi are three Indian cities that are looking at developing cruise lining facilities as the basic infrastructure to set up these services is already in place.

The Times Now reported that the ticket prices for the cruise start at Rs 4,300 and go upto Rs 12,000. The tickets for the same can be booked on the ¡®Angriya¡¯ website. The ship which has been built in Japan is 131 meter long and shelters upto seven decks.
The posh cruise is being captained by Nitin Dhond who is also a veteran Indian Merchant Navy captain. The cruise offers all splendid facilities starting from restaurants like Ancora and Coral Reef to bars, spa, infinity pool, open deck and a lounge.

Passengers can book accommodation according to their needs from eight categories of rooms. There are specific couple rooms, family rooms, buddy rooms, luxury pods as well as dorms. The cruise line also boasts of 26 marine personnel and a hospitality staff of around 60 people that are available at the passenger¡¯s behest 24*7.

The Times of India reported that less than 1.5 lakh people travelled by a cruise in 2017 out of a 2.6 crore Indians who travelled abroad. Despite having a huge coastline of over 7,500 kms, India is home to only 128 ports as compared to 2,400 Japanese ports and 1,100 Chinese ports.
If India can make optimum utilization of its port facilities then it can will be able to increase its revenue by almost 50 percent.
