On A Foggy Day, These Selfless People Make Sure That We Reach Our Destinations Safely

While sipping on favourite hot beverage early in morning, do people ever give a thought that there are others out there in the streets who don¡¯t have the luxury to get up late and move to work once the fog is undone by the sun?

There are people who perform their duties while giving no second thoughts to fog and discomfort it causes to them. Many people qualify to be in this grand list of professionals who come out of their houses because they have to for their jobs, but the article is about those whose work has a direct co-relation with our comfort.

Here are five those people who stand right through the night amid thick fog to make our lives smooth.

1. Man at the airport with baton

Nothing is visible in the blanket of fog except for an orange light on the runway. Yes, the man who shows directions on planes in the thick fog. People board flights 24X7 and for these people, work is the first priority.

We are in 2017 and many railways crossings in India are still manned by railway personnel¡¯s where they show green signals to trains at stations and crossing in remote hinterlands. They too like the baton man at airport can¡¯t get away from their job and have to be on the spot with a torch and flag both red and green to give trains carrying us a pass.

Do we need to say anything about these people? Fog, rain or storm, they are there to guard our locality at night regardless the condition. Many people accuse them of not working efficiently which at the time isn¡¯t wrong in entirety, but most of them are out there in thick just to ensure that we have good sleep.

Regardless the cities, towns and even villages, policemen are one of the few people who are out there at night on patrol. Police patrolling is one important tool for keeping the area under check and it creates a lot of problems if policemen skip the beat patrolling. Therefore, credit should be given to beat constables and other officials who run on deserted streets among thick fog accompanied by cold winds. One can easily see PCR jeeps standing at corners of the streets and policeman standing beside the fire to keep cold at a distance.

5. Soldiers at borders

There is hardly any need to mention these people as their sacrifice and dedication is unquestionable. Weather conditions for them are non-existent as they always have to be at their work guarding India's fences.

Sitting in Delhi or Mumbai or at any other part of the country, we are reluctant to get out in fog as we feel cold. But while sipping on our beverage at our homes, we can at least salute their courage and dedication they show for their work which eventually makes our lives easier and comfortable.
