Her ¡®business¡¯ was transacted at all five-star hotels in the city, and all these victims are men who have fallen for her charms, thereby losing a lot of their money.

2. Delhi University To Launch Mobile App To Keep A Tab On Students' Attendance

After the admission process, the mechanism for marking and tracking attendance of students at Delhi University is set to go online with the varsity planning to launch a mobile application for the purpose.
The University had last year set up a seven-member committee which has been working on a mobile application to ensure accountability and transparency.
"The project has been going on for around six months now and the app is expected to be launched next month. This will help teachers keep a tab on daily class strength and show the percentage of attendance to help them inform the students about the shortage in advance," a senior DU official told PTI. The stellar presence of mind by a ten-year-old girl helped to avert sexual assault on her six-year-old sister by a 54-year-old neighbour in Pimpri on Thursday. Luring the six-year- old with chocolates, the man had taken her to his house. The ten-year- old followed and raised the alarm when the man tried to assault her sister.
Based on the complaint by the victim¡¯s mother, the Pimpri police arrested the attacker, identified as Yashodharan Gopal. Gopal originally hails from Kerala but is currently living in Pimpri, close to the victim¡¯s residence. Read more here

The Adugodi police have launched a bovine hunt to nab a cow that attacked a 55-year-old woman near her house inside the police quarters on Hosur-Lashkar Road. The woman, whose son is a head constable in the city police commissionerate, had to undergo surgery for a dislocated shoulder.
Adugodi and its adjoining areas ¡ª Lalji Nagar, Lakkasandra, Vinayakanagar, Jalakanteshwara Nagar, Ayyappa Garden, and Mahalingeshwara Layout ¡ª have many domestic cows. The police are now looking to identify the one that attacked Bhagyamma, who is yet to recover and help with the identification.Read more here

As the chorus on 'gau raksha' (cow protection) gets shriller with every passing day, a village in Mehsana district has different standards of treatment for cows. The cow is considered holy according to got Hindu tradition, but cows belong to Dalit families have been facing the wrath of casteist elements.
In Nandali village of Kheralu taluka of Mehsana district, five Dalit families have been facing a 'social' boycott, since April last year. Supply of essential commodities like milk and vegetables to them had been stopped by other villagers. Three families fled the village but two have stayed on. Now, their five cows are not allowed to graze on the village pasture land. This has forced the victims to travel some 15km for cattle feed every day. Read more here
