Watch: Hyderabad Man Sets Guinness World Record By Typing English Alphabet Backwards
The Guinness World Record (GWR) on Thursday shared the video of SK Ashraf, a Hyderabad man setting a new record for the 'fastest time to type the alphabet backwards'. All it took Ashraf to type from Z to A on a keyboard was 2.69 seconds.
Have you ever tried typing the English alphabet backwards, that is from Z to A? Sounds pretty difficult, right? But a lawyer from Hyderabad can do this with ease and even has set a Guinness World Record for his speed. The Guinness World Record (GWR) on Thursday shared the video of SK Ashraf, a Hyderabad man setting a new record for the 'fastest time to type the alphabet backwards'.
Record typing speed
All it took Ashraf to type from Z to A on a keyboard was 2.69 seconds.
In the video, Ashraf can be seen cruising at lightning speed as the alphabet appears in reverse order on his screen.
Ashraf, a practicing lawyer at the Telangana State High Court, attempted for the title of ¡®fastest time to type the alphabet backwards¡¯ in February 2024.
Previous world record
He achieved it in 2.69 seconds and broke the existing Guinness World Record of 3.71 seconds.
The video shared by Guinness World Records has since gone viral and has left many stunned by the speed at which Ashraf can type the letters on his keyboard.
"His record made us very proud," an Instagram user wrote, while another commented "India is not for beginners"
Other Guinness records set by Ashraf
This is not the first time Ashraf who is an engineering and law graduate has made it to the recorded books.
Ashraf also holds two more Guinness world records - ¡®fastest time to type the alphabet from A to Z with spaces¡¯ in 3.37 seconds, and ¡®fastest time to type the alphabet blindfolded from A to Z with spaces¡¯ in 4.13 seconds.
Ashraf previously held the Guinness world record for the ¡®fastest time to type 1 to 50¡¯ in 14.88 seconds.
This record was broken in June 2023 by Mejari Mallikarjuna from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh¡¯s Chittoor district.
Mallikarjuna set the new world record for typing the numbers from one to fifty in just 13.16 seconds.
