Shocking! Two Transgenders Among Four Individuals Killed In Single Night In Hyderabad

In a horrifying incident, two transgender people were allegedly bludgeoned to death by unknown attackers in the Tappachabutra area of Hyderabad city early Wednesday.

Attacked with stones & sharp weapons

This happening occurred at a secluded place when the victims were coming back to their houses in Jhirra Tappachabutra.

The assaulters reportedly entrapped the two victims near their home while they were commuting on their Activa scooty and attacked them with stones and sharp weapons.

The victims, aged between 25 and 30, have been identified as Yusuf, who went by the name of Dolly, and Riyaz, who was called Sofia.

Earlier, an auto driver named Azhar had taken his life at Pahadishareef in the house of one of the transgender victims. But his family members had alleged that the deceased was murdered.

According to a report by Siasat Daily, based on local news, this double murder is connected to that case.

In contrast, Kiran Khare, Hyderabad Southwest's Deputy Commissioner of Police Kiran Khare told IANS that the reason behind the killings appeared to be "illegitimate intimacy".

Attackers not from transgender community

"The probe is going on. So far we don't have evidence against anyone to connect them with murder. All angles will be probed to find out the exact reason," Khare was quoted saying by Siasat Daily.

DCP Khare, who also visited the crime scene, told reporters that a case has been registered while adding that some people have also been taken into custody.

The cops have recovered the knives that were employed during the murders, and it has also been revealed that the attackers were not transgender community members.

Additionally, a case has been recorded under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code by Tappachabutra Police.

Another double murder in Hyderabad

Another double murder case also came to light from Hyderabad on Wednesday, wherein two men sleeping on a footpath were bludgeoned to death by unidentified persons in the Kattedan area under the limits of Mailardevpally police station.

The identity of the two deceased persons is being ascertained, as per an official's quote in TOI. He added that the police is confirming the reasons behind their murders and looking into any possible link with the killing of the two transgender persons.

Police shifted the bodies in both cases for autopsy amidst the ongoing investigation
