Mumbai Police recently arrested a 24-year-old in connection with making death threats to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. However, this is not the first time that the politician has received such warnings. Here¡¯s a look back at some of the major life-threatening statements made against him in the past.

1. 2024
It all started when a message was received by the Mumbai Traffic Police control room where Fatima Khan said that Adityanath would be murdered ¡®like Baba Siddique¡¯ if he didn¡¯t resign from his post within 10 days. Police sources later revealed that the woman hails from Thane and holds a BSc degree in Information Technology. However, subsequent investigation revealed she is suffering from some mental health issues.

2. 2023
In April 2023, an unidentified person from Sushant Golf City, Lucknow sent death threat messages to CM Yogi on the police¡¯s helpline 112. The message received allegedly read, ¡°I will kill CM Yogi Soon¡± which invited the registration of a case under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 506, 507 and IT Act 66.
3. 2022
In August 2022, a man named Salman Siddiqui sent a threatening letter addressing PIL activist Devendra Tiwari and Yogi Adityanath with life. The accused wrote, "Devendra Tiwari it has been stated to you several times, yet you do not understand. Your PIL has resulted in the closure of multiple slaughterhouses in the state, robbing other Muslim brothers of their livelihood. Now you see what will happen to you. You escaped Deoband deftly, but now you and Yogi Adityanath will be blown up with a bomb. You will see the outcome within the next 15 days. The others have had their necks severed but you two (Devendra Tiwari and Yogi Adityanath) will be blown up with bombs."
4. 2021
In May 2021, the Uttar Pradesh police received a threatening call on its WhatsApp emergency number 112 where the unidentified caller mentioned that Yogi Adityanath had ¡®only four days left¡¯ to live. He openly challenged the cops to arrest him within four days, or else he would go and execute his deadly plan against the CM on the 5th day.

5. 2020
In November 2020, the Lucknow police apprehended a minor boy in Agra after he issued death threats to CM Yogi Adityanath via social media. The 15-year-old accused threatened to ¡®blow up the Uttar Pradesh CM¡¯ after which the police sprung into action and were successfully able to trace him from Agra. SHO Sachin Kumar Singh stated, ¡°The boy was brought from Agra to Lucknow and later produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, which sent him to a juvenile home.¡±
