Shared by news agency ANI, the footage shows locals loading EVMs onto donkeys in the Natham area of Dindigul district. The caption reads, "Tamil Nadu: Donkeys carry EVMs to villages in the Natham area of Dindigul district, ahead of Lok Sabha elections."
The video has garnered over 41,000 views and sparked various reactions. One commenter remarked, "We¡¯re getting ready to send astronauts to the moon but can¡¯t even drop off a polling team with a helicopter in remote areas." Another criticized the Election Commission of India, stating, "This reflects poorly on the Election Commission of India."

The first phase of the 18th Lok Sabha elections is set for April 19, with 102 seats across 21 states up for voting. Among these, Tamil Nadu's 39 seats and the lone Puducherry constituency will also participate.

The Indian National Congress, leading the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (India), emerges as a significant contender, featuring Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and siblings Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi.
