How the snakes were safely removed from the house
Renowned snake rescuer Sanjib Deka, affectionately known as the 'Serpent Man,' adeptly managed the situation by safely relocating the hatchlings from the residence.
According to Deka, approximately 35 snakes were discovered crawling from a recently constructed toilet within the house.
In an interview with ANI, Deka recounted, "The house owner informed me about the presence of snakes and I reached the spot. I found that many snakes were crawling at the place. I recovered around 35 snakes crawling from a newly constructed toilet of the house. Later I released the snakes crawl at Joisagar Dalani area."
Assam's diverse forest cover harbors a multitude of snake species, including rare ones that are unique to the region.
Notably, the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, spanning Golaghat and Nagaon districts, hosts two of the world's largest snake species¡ªthe reticulated python and the rock python. This UNESCO World Heritage Site also boasts a substantial population of king cobras, known for being the longest venomous snakes on Earth.
