Family members of the girls have told TOI, the boys allegedly stalked and molested her while she was coming back from her tuition classes from the Baans Balli market area around 5 pm.
The victim's brother said, ¡°The boys who harassed my sister were probably drunk and stinking of alcohol. They came near my sister who was with two of her friends¡±.
He further added, ¡°One of them named Sunny came forward and started harassing her, asking for her phone number and other details. When she objected the same, he slapped her.¡±
A resident of the same locality named Monu came for her rescue but he was thrashed by the boys ¡°He has suffered minor injuries on his ears¡±, his brother said.
Soon after the incident, the girl talked to her parents who then lodged a complaint at the sector 20 police station.
FIR has been lodged against the four boys in the case under sections 354 - assault and criminal force to women with intent to outrage her modesty, under section 506 - punishment for criminal intimidation and 323 - Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt of the penal code. However, soon as the boys got to know about the complaint, they obstructed the girl while she was on her way to school on Friday and threatened to burn her if she didn¡¯t take her complaint back.
The girl¡¯s brother said, ¡°One of them told her to take her complaint back or either she would be stabbed or set on fire. She managed to run away.¡±
The four boys have been identified as Sunny, Gokul, Lakshman and Sanskar. The police said that the boys are known to the family as they live in the same locality but currently they are on the run. On this, police senior sub inspector Harender Singh said, the age and the background of the four boys is yet to be confirmed and efforts are made to nab them.¡±
