Recently, there's been a rise in similar stories where policemen have come forward to help children.
In an incident, Pavan Nash, a class VI student in Kerala¡¯s Ernakulam district was shocked to find that the gooseberry tree in front of his house that he had been growing and nurturing from the past two years was missing. Someone broke off the two-foot-tall tree in front of his house and left only a small portion of the trunk.
Hurt by the incident, Pavan called ¡®Chiri¡¯ (smile), a tele counselling centre for children started by the Kerala government.
He told them of what happened and the issue was reportedly picked by higher officials of Chiri after they were informed.
The very next day, officers from the Njarakkal police station visited Pawan and brought him new tree saplings.
It is these little kindness acts that makes all of us believe in humanity and to bring a smile to someone¡¯s face is the biggest deed one can do.
