Reflecting on his injury setback, Harshit shared, "I had a tough time coping with the injury. It took me away from the sport for two and a half months, and injuries like these can take a toll on you mentally. But I remained positive and kept telling myself that the more I work on myself, the greater my return to IPL will be."
His time spent with Team India and in the Indian camp has brought about positive changes in Harshit's approach to the game. "After being in the Indian camp, I've noticed positive changes within myself. I've learned how to work on myself as a cricketer to make progress. Senior players and coaches have imparted valuable lessons about training, diet, and overall improvement," he shared.
Harshit is particularly excited about the prospect of learning from Mitchell Starc. "The excitement around Starc joining the squad is palpable, and I'm looking forward to soaking in his knowledge and experience. Whether it's during matches or training sessions, I aim to absorb as much as I can to elevate my game," he added.
While his bowling prowess is well-established, Harshit is also focusing on enhancing his batting skills to contribute more effectively to the team. "I've been putting in the hard yards to improve my batting. After a successful domestic season with the bat, I'm determined to continue that form and make meaningful contributions with the bat as well," he stated.
KKR is set to kick off their pre-season camp in Kolkata on March 15, gearing up for their IPL 2024 opener against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens on March 23. With Harshit Rana in fine form and raring to go, KKR fans can expect some electrifying performances in the upcoming season.
