Earlier, Indian World Forum President Puneet Singh Chandhok said international forces have escorted the evacuees to the Indian Air Force aircraft. According to him, three Sri Guru Granth Sahib is also on their way from Afghanistan.
"I can confirm that the stranded Indian Nationals and 46 Afghan Hindus and Sikhs with three Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (holy book) are currently inside the Kabul Airport and are being escorted by International forces to the Indian Air Force aircraft on the ground," Chandhok said.
On Sunday too India had evacuated several Afghan Hindus and Sikhs.
One of them thanked India for helping people like her.
"Situation was deteriorating in Afghanistan, so I came here with my daughter & two grandchildren. Our Indian brothers and sisters came to our rescue. They (Taliban) burnt down my house. I thank India for helping us," the unidentified woman told ANI.
An Afghan Sikh parliamentarian was also among those evacuated from Kabul.
MP Narender Singh Khalsa on Sunday broke down as he told reporters that "everything is now finished."
A US Sikh body on Sunday said that over 260 Sikhs have taken shelter at Gurdwara Karte Parwan in Kabul and need help in their evacuation. "There are more than 260 Afghan citizens left at Gurudwara Karte Parwan in Kabul including women and over 50 children. This includes three newborns with one born yesterday," United Sikhs said in a statement.
"We are in communication with governments in the United States, Canada, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Tajikistan, Iran and the United Kingdom among others," the United Sikhs said.
¡°We are also in communication with international aid agencies and non-governmental organizations trying to support rescue efforts in Afghanistan. In addition, our teams are communicating with companies that can execute rescue efforts on the ground in Afghanistan," it said.
