An iPhone without camera? A Reddit user claims it exists!
The Reddit user, @dopeyout, recently posted a pho picture on the site. The pho is a type of Vietnamese noodle. The photo was taken with an iPhone 5.
Ever since Steve Jobs introduced iPhones to the world in 2007, they have revolutionized how we use our phones. One of the biggest selling points of iPhones throughout these years has been their camera. Every year, Apple heavily promotes their new iPhones, boasting about how good their cameras are.
iPhone without camera
Given this, it is nearly impossible to imagine an iPhone without its industry-leading cameras. But apparently, they do exist, at least according to a Reddit user. The Reddit user, @dopeyout, recently posted a photo of an iPhone on the subreddit r/mildlyinteresting, which has raised many questions. In the photo, showing the backside of the iPhone, the camera unit is conspicuously missing.

Is this even real?
"A camera-less iPhone issued to my buddy that works at a nuclear plant. No cameras allowed," the user wrote. The photo soon went viral, and everyone had the same question in mind: Is this even real?
While some were willing to believe that such an iPhone does exist, others dismissed it as fake.
Could be customised
Others argued that this could be a customized phone produced by a third party.
"Apple themselves don¡¯t make these phones; they¡¯re produced by third-party companies which buy from Apple, remove the cameras, and sell them to government agencies."
Many also wondered how a friend would flaunt such a product that is supposed to be a secret. A Reddit user also said that there were no such restrictions in the plant where he works and that "our people at our plants all carry their regular cell phones," but added that it "might be different at government nuclear facilities."
