Except For US Citizens, Trump Govt Can Access Anyone's Data Around The World

Donald Trump has slowly started turning major progressive decisions taken by Barack Obama administration in last 8 years. The new President now signed a new executive order, which would end whatever little privacy protection the Obama administration had offered to non-citizens including the Indians.
The executive order notes that the federal "agencies (in the US) shall, to the extent consistent with applicable law, ensure that their privacy policies exclude persons who are not United States citizens or lawful permanent residents from the protections of the Privacy Act regarding personally identifiable information."

Though Indians may not have any direct implication from this US law, but it¡¯s worth noticing that Gmail, apps and most smartphones that we use come from the US companies and now this law would allow US government can have access to data collected by these companies.
The dichotomy with the issue is that for the data belonging to the US citizen, there will be a different mechanism to access that while for the data that belongs to a non-US citizen like Indians or people from any other nationalities can be accessed from now on.
The non-US citizens anyways don't enjoy any privacy protection on the web dominated by US companies But former US president Barack Obama had signed a new directive a few years with an aim to protect the privacy and civil liberties of all persons, whatever their nationality and regardless of where they might reside.
