Meet Kuno! 4-Yr-Old Dog Who Got Bravery Medal For Taking Down Al-Qaeda Gunman, Saving Lives
Kuno is a Belgian Shepherd Malinois and a retired military working dog. A year back, he tackled an Al-Qaeda gunman and forced a change of attack. This helped complete the mission on his part.
A four-year-old military dog received the animals' Victoria cross for taking on an armed Al-Qaeda insurgent in 2019.

But he did get shot many times on both his hind legs and to be given life-saving treatment.

After several operations, his life was saved.
Now he receives the PSDA Dickin Medal which is the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross. It was a virtual presentation. He is the 72nd recipient of the award.
He is also the first UK military working dog to be fitted with prosthetics.

"Kuno is a true hero. His actions that day undoubtedly changed the course of a vital mission, saving multiple lives in the process. And despite serious, life-changing injuries, he performed his duty without faltering," PSDA Director-General, John McLoughlin, told LadBible.
"For this bravery and devotion to duty, we are honoured to welcome him as the latest recipient of the PDSA Dickin Medal," he added.
