Cooper City High School's 2024 class included 14 sets of twins and one set of triplets. A total of 543 students graduated from the school this year.
If there were an award for the most confusing high school graduation, it should go to Cooper City High School in Florida. The graduation of the 2024 class, held earlier this month, included 14 sets of twins and one set of triplets. A total of 543 students graduated from the school this year, including two sets of identical twins, 12 sets of fraternal twins, and one set of triplets.
Twice is nice
Some of the students even created a slogan to commemorate their unique graduating class: ¡°Twice as nice and triple the fun.¡± According to school officials, while they are unaware of any official record for the most twins in a graduating class, they believe they might have set one.

Special moment
¡°I was like, 14? Fourteen? That¡¯s such a big number,¡± Jordan Gara, who graduated along with his twin brother, Dylan, said. "It was very special as they would come across the stage; I would shake their hand and give one a diploma, and then the second one would come over to do the same thing," Vera Perkovic, the school's principal, told TODAY.com. "It kind of just symbolized they're their own person, but also, they have been together all these years as twins," she added.
Twins to take separate career paths
For the twins who had been together since birth, the graduation was a bittersweet moment. They will be separated for the first time as they pursue different academic paths. Identical twins Gabrielle and Jocelyn Reed had been attending school together since preschool. Now, Gabrielle is headed to Cornell University, while Jocelyn will attend Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
