Sammy Barcroft and Joanne Vines, residents of Portsmouth and leaders of the charity organisation, The Rucksack Project have joined the various efforts of refurbishing abandoned vehicles - such as a double-decker bus - into a shelter for the homeless.

The Stagecoach bus was saved from being reduced to scrap and was put to urgent use by charity workers. It has now been turned into a sanctuary for those who have no roof over their heads.
