Trump says Kim Jong Un wants him to win US elections, North Korea responds with 'we do not care'
"He'd like to see me back, too. I think he misses me if you want to know the truth," Trump had said.
North Korea has said that its supreme leader Kim Jong Un doesn't care about who will win the upcoming presidential elections in the US. In an official response through the Korean Central News Agency, Pyongyang said Kim 'doesn't care' who wins and added that Donald Trump did not bring ¡®substantial change¡¯ as he claimed.
What Trump said
The North Korean response came after Trump, in a recent election campaign speech, said he¡¯d like to take North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to a baseball game as he boasted about their friendship. Speaking at a rally in Michigan on Saturday, the former president said he ¡°got along¡± great with Kim when he was in office.
¡°It¡¯s a good thing to get along, not a bad thing. I used to tell him, ¡®Why don¡¯t you do something else?¡¯ All he wants to do is buy nuclear weapons and make them,¡± Trump said of the North Korean leader. ¡°I said, ¡®Just relax, chill.¡¯ He¡¯s got enough. He¡¯s got so many nuclear weapons.¡±
He likes to see me back
"He'd like to see me back, too. I think he misses me if you want to know the truth," Trump had said.
'We do not care'
Responding to Trump, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), on Tuesday, said: ¡°Even if any administration takes office in the US, the political climate, which is confused by the infighting of the two parties, does not change and, accordingly, we do not care about this."

The statement, however, acknowledged that Trump ¡°tried to reflect the special personal relations between the heads of states¡± but added that he didn¡¯t bring ¡°any substantial positive change.¡±
Trump and Kim had met twice, once in Singapore and once in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between the two Koreas in 2018 and 2019 respectively when he was the US President.
