In a heartwarming gesture, the dejected solder is seen sipping tea and munching on a pastry given to him by the people who caught him.
The video further shows a woman holding a phone to the Russian soldier, and was reportedly video calling his mother in Russia to tell her son was fine.
The Russian soldier who went into Ukraine to make the lives of the people there a living hell then breaks down into tears and is consoled by the same men and women he was sent to target.

Many on Twitter hailed the noble act of the under-attack civilians of Ukraine towards their enemy.
Ukrainian Ministry of Defence said Russian mothers could could come to Kyiv and collect their sons who had been taken prisoner.
In a verified post on social media, officials claimed mothers could make the arduous journey to the Ukrainian capital from Russia if they had found that their child was in captivity.
'It was decided to give the captured Russian soldiers to their mothers if they come to Ukraine, to Kyiv for them,' it read.
The ministry provide an email address and phone numbers that could be used to find out if a soldier was 'in captivity or had died'.
Over the past few days, several videos of Russian soldiers captured during the war in Ukraine have surfaced.

From the conversations in most of the videos, it appears that neither they nor their families in Russia were aware of the fact that they were being sent to invade another country.

In another video, some captured Russian soldiers can be heard saying that they were 'deceived' and did not realise they were going to invade Ukraine.
They compared themselves to cannot fodder and said that they are all going to die.
"They don't even pick up the corpses, there are no funerals," one of them said.
There are several unverified reports that the Russian troops in Ukraine are running out of food and are struggling on the ground.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, his forces have so far killed 9,000 invaders.
