IND vs AUS, 3rd Test: Virat Kohli and R Ashwin share heartfelt hug as spinner announces retirement
Ravichandran Ashwin announced his immediate retirement from international cricket after the 3rd Test ended in a draw. The spinner played 106 Tests, taking 537 wickets and scoring 3503 runs in his illustrious career.
While all were excited for the Brisbane Test between India and Australia - hoping for the Indian's to break the "Gabba ka ghamand" once again, the form of the Men in Blue and the changes in the weather have not kept the Indian fans too excited of the results. With the rain picking up, the match was drawn - a pretty dismal finish to the game but not an unexpected one.
Just before the rain, India had come to bat and scored 8 off 2.1 overs after the Aussies scored 89 for 7 and set a target of 275 runs for India to chase. After bad lighting stopped play and later the rain poured, it was known that the only result from here was a draw.
However, with both teams in the dressing room, the camera panned towards the Indian side which showed Virat Kohli and R Ashwin sitting and chatting with each other. While it's not known what they were speaking about, the two suddenly were seen sharing a hug as well. The photos of the two soon went viral on X (formerly known as Twitter).
