India Demolish Bangladesh In Three Days And The Test Match Is Anything But A Contest
India take a 1-0 lead in the series.
The Indore Test between India and Bangladesh lasted just 3 days with the hosts wrapping things up without breaking a sweat. It was a victory by an innings and 130 runs and clearly showed the different between the two sides. The match was anything but a contest and as expected, it was Virat Kohli's boys standing tall. As India aim for a 12th straight Test series win at home, they sealed their 27th win in 33 games. They have lost just 1 and drawn 5. Also, India cannot lose the series as there is just one game left in the series.

India had a lead of 343 runs at stumps on Day 2. At 493/6, they declared before play started on Day 3 and it was mission survival for Bangladesh. Well those hopes went out of the window when they lost 4 wickets in the first session itself. Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma were bowling with venom. The score was 60/4 at Lunch.
Half their side was back in the pavilion for 72 and despite some resistance from the lower middle order as Liton Das (35) and Mushfiqur Rahim (64) put on 63 for the 6th wicket, it was a lost cause. The score was 191/6 at Tea. The 7th wicket stand was worth 59 with Mehidy Hasan offering some resistance with 38. The last session saw the end of the Test. Shami led the pack for India with figures of 4/31.

Earlier, Mayank Agarwal's blistering 243 powered the hosts to 493/6. Ajinkya Rahane (86), Ravindra Jadeja (60*) and Cheteshwar Pujara (54) also made good contributions as we got a big lead.
Day 1 saw Bangladesh fold for just 150 in their first innings. Shami led the way with 3/27.

The next Test is the historic Day-Night game in Kolkata which begins from November 22. Bangladesh cannot win the series, they will try to draw, or walk away with some respectability. India seem unstoppable at the moment and of course that's why they are the No. 1 side.
India hold all the cards going into the next game, Only an out-of-this-world type performance will be enough to bring Bangladesh back into contention and Kohli's boys are showing no signs of taking their foot off the pedal.
