Wanindu Hasaranga's bidding was going on and he had crossed the Rs 8 crore mark despite having a base price of Rs 1 crore.
Edmeades fell face-first on the floor resulting in an immediate halt of the proceedings.
He had an unfortunate fall due to Postural Hypotension.
As per reports he is up and fine and is currently seated at a table.
The medical team attended to him immediately after the incident.
According to Star Sports, the auction shall resume at 3.30 pm.
Charu Sharma will continue with the proceedings today.
