Mumbai yellow alert: Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal requests BCCI to shift venue for high-stakes MI vs DC match
Weather forecasts suggest heavy rainfall in Mumbai, making it dicey for high-stakes Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals fixture to take place. DC co-owner, Parth Jindal, emailed BCCI to request for a change of venue for the high-stakes IPL clash.

Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals will clash in a high-stake match, which can turn out to be a decider for the fourth spot of the IPL 2025 knockouts round. Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Punjab Kings have already secured their spot for the final four.
Delhi Capitals (DC) co-owner, Parth Jindal, has officially sent a request to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for shifting this critical game to another city due to poor weather conditions in Mumbai.
The match is supposed to be held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, however, the city has been on a yellow alert for poor weather since the morning.
Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal wrote to BCCI for change of location for MI vs DC
Parth Jindal, co-owner of Delhi Capitals and scion of JSW Group, wrote an email to BCCI regarding the poor weather conditions in Mumbai, according to reports. He wrote, ¡°The forecast in Mumbai is for heavy rains and there is a strong likelihood that the game will be washed out,¡±.
Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal has requested the organisers to move his franchise's all important IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians in wake of a possible washout due to inclement weather prediction in the city.

He further added how the RCB vs SRH match was shifted to a different city due to inclement weather. ¡°Just as the game between RCB vs SRH has been moved out of Bengaluru in the quest for consistency and in the interest of the league it is my request that tomorrow¡¯s game also be moved to a different location as we have known for the better part of 6 days that the forecast for 21st in Mumbai is for heavy showers.¡±, he added.
Why is Delhi Capitals board eager to move MI vs DC fixture to another city?
Mumbai Indians will secure the knockout round spot if they beat Delhi Capitals, but a DC win will take the qualification race for the last remaining spot to the final match week of the tournament.
Peak Mumbai.

Really wonder how Mumbai vs Capitals happen tomorrow. The city¡¯s weather is in shambles. Lightning, rain, wind everything at once. #Mumbai #MIvDC #Wankhede

On the other hand, if a washout indeed occurs, both teams will get one point each, giving a monumental advantage to MI who sit with 14 points on the table. Delhi Capitals have 13 points, making it difficult and uncertain for the team to secure qualification in the final week thereafter.
