WWE SmackDown results: Shinsuke Nakamura retains US championship, thanks to Bloodline interference

WWE men's United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura has retained his title belt after his fight with LA Knight ended in a disqualification. Nakamura defended his United States Championship in a rematch on Friday Night SmackDown, after an interference by Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga of the Bloodline.

Earlier in the day, LA Knight had got himself involved in the wild brawl between Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Jimmy Uso, and Cody Rhodes.
But it came back to haunt LA Knight during his US Championship match as Fatu and Tonga jumped on him from the crowd as he was going for the pin.

Though Knight picked up the win, the disqualification meant Nakamura got to keep his title. This was Nakamura's first title defence since beginning his third reign with the US Championship 42 days ago.
The in-ring drama did not end there as Fatu and Tonga continued their beatdown of LA Knight until they were interrupted once again by Uso and Rhodes, who had some unfinished business with them.
