Luxury Hotels to Stay at in Sri Lanka

Cricket fans have started gearing up for the upcoming World T20 games that will take place in Sri Lanka. Scheduled from September 18 through October 7, the matches will be held in Hambantota, Colombo and Pallekele stadium near Kandy. This is the refurbished southern wing of the historic Galle Face Hotel in Colombo. Reminiscent of buildings from the Victorian era, the hotel has high ceilings, wood flooring, large corridors and a grand teak staircase.
Made up of four floors, each floor comes with a personal butler. Guestrooms have contemporary furnishings, en-suite bathrooms and all amenities. The Oceanic suites have sea views and some are even fitted with Jacuzzis. Eateries at the Regency include Sea Spray, the Verandah and a fine dining restaurant The 1864. The Kandy House, Kandy

A typical countryside house, this is and ancestral home of one of Kandy's most influential aristocratic families, and is spread across six acres.
Antique furniture occupies the space and there are only nine suites set around a central two-storied courtyard. It is pretty close to the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. If you like large verandas, hammocks and vast lawns, this is where you should head. There is also an infinity pool overlooking the rice paddy fields. On the menu is European and Sri Lankan cuisine.
Around the house are the Victoria Golf and Country Club, the Temple of the Tooth, Botanical Gardens, and Helga's Folly.

A 200-year-old mansion, this is a retro-chic hotel with 12 designer suites. It has Moorish architecture with mosaic floors and you will see contemporary furniture and a lot of vibrant colours used.
