Facebook Just Added A Bunch Of New Easter Eggs That Trigger Animations With Certain Words
Typing certain words into status updates will trigger new colour formatting and animations to your news feed.
Nope, we don't literally mean easter eggs. Easter eggs here refer to a hidden function or joke embedded in a software or a game which is triggered by a specific keyword.
There¡¯s about to be a lot more animation and colour in your Facebook news feed. Facebook has announced that it¡¯s adding more trigger words to its platform. These are words that, when typed into a status update or comment, will trigger animations.
So far, words like ¡°congratulations¡± appear in a different colour and clicking on them plays a brief animation in your news feed, like balloons and confetti.
Facebook is now adding animations for ¡°rad¡±, ¡°bff¡±, ¡°lmao¡±, and ¡°thank you so much¡±, among others. It¡¯s also updating the animations that appear for life events like engagements and weddings. When people react to these events, they will appear alongside animations over the status update.
It¡¯s just the latest way Facebook is attempting to increase how much original sharing people do, i.e. posts that are actual statuses as opposed to memes, videos or news articles.
