iOS 11 Bugs Are So Frequent They're Now Appearing In Official iPhone X Advertisements

Even though Apple's iPhone lag behinds Android flagships, it¡¯s USP is still the completeness of its user experience. No matter what features it has or doesn't have, Apple is still the king of customer experience.

That's why the whole debacle around iOS 11 glitches is so unbelievable. And you have to wonder how clueless Apple is when a software bug creeps into an advertisement for one of their flagship products.

It¡¯s a blink-and-you¡¯ll-miss-it frame in Apple¡¯s latest iPhone X ad (at the 50 second mark), as spotted by several eagle eye reporters. The bug appears near the end of Apple¡¯s traditionally slick commercial, where the text from an iMessage briefly extends past the notification bubble. It¡¯s not a big deal of course, it doesn¡¯t compromise your security, privacy, or usability of the phone, but god damn is it faux pas of epic proportions.

Not only is this iOS 11, the most recent version of the iPhone operating system, it¡¯s also prominently featured in a television ad. It completely defeats the purpose once you see it, making you remember all the other bad things about iOS you¡¯ve seen this past year.

Mayo for his part says he¡¯s ¡°way more concerned that this was signed off for the commercial,¡± especially seeing as he filed this bug report with Apple months ago. It makes you wonder how the detail-focused late Steve Jobs must be rolling in his grave, especially since these kinds of animation bugs are what Android was once upon a time slammed by reviewers for.

Hopefully this is the sort of problem that¡¯ll get fixed in 2018. A report earlier this year claimed Apple was postponing some major new features for iOS 12, to instead focusing on bug-fixing.
