How To Enhance Your Editing Experience With Google Photos' New Design

Is Google Photos your go-to application for saving and editing pictures? Google has been rolling out advanced editing tools to make the Google Photos experience better. First, the changes arrived on Android tablets, followed by Chromebooks. Now, the update is available on Google Photos for web browsers.

As reported by 9to5Google, users will now see a fresh layout that has multiple tabs. The new sections include an advanced cropping tool, along with a presets tab. Earlier, presets were inside a dropdown menu.

Dragging and rotation controls have also moved to the bottom of the screen next to a Reset button. The Filter section has moved to the end of on browsers. Now, users will see the "Try the new editor" option when they click on a picture on Google Photos on a browser.

Here's how to use the new Google Photos for web

1. Go to photos.google.com and log in with your Google account
2. Select a picture of your choice and enable the new editor
3. You can now edit pictures with the new additions

The Suggestions tab within the editor tool now gives recommendations on ways to improve your image. Many suggestions including Dynamic, Portrait, and Colour pop are exclusive to Google One - implying you'll need a valid Google One subscription to use these tools.

The cropping tab helps you tweak the aspect ratio of images. You can choose from preset options or do it manually. The Preset tab can help you enhance the brightness, contrast, shadows, highlights, and more. The HDR tool will only be available to Google One subscribers. The last tab lets users select a filter of their choice.
