Google Play Games Beta Arrives In India For PC: How To Install And Play

Google Play Games for PC is here! The beta for Google Play Games has launched in India, the company revealed in a blog post on Friday. "We are excited to announce that Google Play Games beta on PC is now available to players in India. Players participating in the beta can play mobile games across their phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and PCs. Users in India can access this in English and Hindi," the company wrote.

With Google Play Games now available on PC, users can browse, download, and play mobile games on their PCs, the company claims. The benefits of gaming on PC are better controls via mouse and keyboard inputs. Since game progress and libraries are synced across devices, users can pick up where they left off - considering you're using the same Google account.

As stated earlier, the client is still in beta. Once you install the app, you'll have to restart your computer and head to BIOS to turn on hardware virtualisation - if you're on Windows 10. Windows 11 users can simply head to "Windows Features" settings to enable the app.

Google claims that 100 titles are currently available to play wherever beta is accessible. How do you access Google Play Games beta? Anyone with a Google account from eligible regions can use Google Play Games beta on their PC.

Users are required to install the app on SSD storage with at least 10GB of free space.

OS: Windows 10 (v2004)

Processor (CPU): Any CPU with four physical cores*

Graphics (GPU): Intel UHD Graphics 630 or higher

RAM: 8GB minimum

Installing Google Play Games on your PC

• -> To install the app on your PC, go to play.google.com/googleplaygames and click "Download."
• -> Open the downloaded file then follow the on-screen instructions. As stated above, you'll be required to set up virtualisation settings on your PC before you can start playing Google Play Games on your PC.

Google Play Games for PC was initially announced at The Game Awards 2021 and allows users to switch seamlessly between a smartphone, tablet, Chromebook and Windows computers. Titles need to be installed locally as this isn't a game streaming provision.
