Anand Mahindra Shares Indian Farmer's Tech 'Jugaad', Using A Cot As A Motorized Excavator

"Jugaad" is something intrinsically linked to India. We've learned how to work with limited amounts of time, money, labour, and hardware to get what needs doing.
And nothing establishes more than a recent tweet by Anand Mahindra.
The CEO tweeted out a video (it's unclear where it was recorded), of a farmer attempting to shift the grain and husks in his field after a harvest. Normally, this would have to be done by hand, as the farmer's only piece of machinery seems to be a tractor meant for ploughing.
The farmer displayed some true Indian enterprise however, modifying his tractor with a mechanical arm to turn it into a sort of excavator. He didn't have a giant metal scoop for the end, so instead he just used his khatiya, his cot.
I think the phrase ¡®Necessity is the mother of invention¡¯ was invented by Indians! Here¡¯s a new product our Farm & Construction sectors will have to consider as a replacement for an excavator: A ¡®Khatiya-vator¡¯. #whatsappwonderbox pic.twitter.com/av3qNdIAHd

Only we Indians can find another use for a 'Khatiya' in the daytime like this??

Clearly a lot of people are impressed, given that the tweet has over 16,000 likes and over 2,900 retweets at the time of writing. Indeed, many also had other examples of Jugaad to show off.
Our farmers have invented one more than one ...... Another example . pic.twitter.com/8jofVuNSID

Hey, at least no one can ever say Indians don't know how to improvise.
