Apple Launches New iPad And Apple Watch Series 5, Apart From The New iPhone 11

Along with the much-awaited iPhone 11's, Apple also unveiled a new iPad as well as the new Apple Watch Series 5. The newer refreshes bring in a considerable performance improvement, along with a bunch of cool features to enhance productivity.

7th Generation Apple iPad

Apple has unveiled the 7th generation iPad that replaces the current base-model iPad. Made with 100-per cent recycled aluminium. It features a 10.2-inch retina display, as opposed to the 9.7-inch on the previous-generation iPad.

Under the hood, the new iPad features the slightly dated-yet-powerful A10 Fusion chip. What's new about this iPad is that now it comes with the smart connector to connect to the keyboard case.

The new iPad continues to support first-generation Apple Pencil with deep integration with iPadOS. Apple's newest and cheapest iPad starts at a price tag of Rs 29,900 for the Wi-Fi 32GB model and iPad starts at Rs 29,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 40,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular mode. The new iPad goes on sale starting September 30.

Apple Watch Series 5

Apple has refreshed its Apple Watch with its latest Series 5. The new Apple Watch features a New Always On Retina Display, made using an LTPO display. The LTPO display. Switches refresh rate from 60hz to 1hz, to still deliver all-day 18hr battery life. It lowers brightness when not in use and lightens up when you lift your wrist.

The Apple Watch Series 5 now comes with a built-in compass that works with the updated Apple Maps app. It still comes with all the safety features as its predecessors, including ECG.

Every cellular model now gets support for international emergency calling, even without the iPhone.

This year's Apple Watch comes in a bunch of new colours and trims. The basic aluminium models are made using 100-per cent recycled aluminium. Apple has also included glossy steel models. What's more, is that Apple has introduced a new Titanium trim with brushed texture to offer a premium look and feel.

Along with this, Apple has resurrected the Ceramic White variation of the Apple Watch.

Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS) starts at Rs 40,900, whereas the Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular) starts at Rs 49,900. The dated Series 3 (GPS), with built-in GPS, optical heart rate sensor and water resistance gets a price-cut at, now starting at Rs 20,900, whereas the Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) is at Rs 29,900.

Apple Watch Series 5 will Available starting September 20 in the US. The Indian release date remains unknown as of now.
