Apple recently opened its first two stores in India last week - one in Mumbai and the other in New Delhi. It turns out that Apple store employees in India are reportedly earning four times the industry standard.
A comparatively higher salary
Compared to other employees in India working in retail stores of other tech brands, Apple employees in the country are making a lot more. Apple is said to be paying around ?1 lakh per month to its employees in the two retail stores in India, Economic Times reported.
This is four times higher than what other tech brands pay their employees monthly. To manage its two stores in India, Apple hired around 170 people who are professionals from various industries like electrical engineering, robotics and computer applications, etc. In addition, Apple has hired linguistically diverse people to be a part of its Indian workforce.

It appears that some staff members have been relocated from other parts of the world to work in these two stores.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Apple is currently planning to double or triple its investments in India along with exports, India's deputy minister for information technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar told Reuters.

During his India visit, Apple CEO Tim Cook met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and reportedly discussed plans to grow Apple's business and manufacturing footprint in India.
