Guesswork regarding the upcoming hardware announcements has increased with less than a month to go, and all eyes are on the iPhone 16 series. The new series is likely to feature four models, per Apple's usual event patterns.

But according to the latest leaks, several other hardware unveilings are in line for the event that might bring even more surprises. Here's a round-up of the major rumours swirling around Apple's upcoming event.

What to expect from iPhone 16

1. Bigger screens: Apple seems to think big this year. There is a persistent rumour of an increase in size for the Pro models of the iPhone 16. The regular iPhone 16 Pro is said to increase from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, at which point it is nudging into some sort of mid-size category. The Pro Max might be in for a big jump: from 6.7 inches on the current iPhone 15 Pro Max to possibly as large as 6.9 inches on the new iPhone 16 Pro Max.
2. Capture button: One of the exciting possible features could be adding a Capture button to some models of the iPhone 16. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg describes this camera button as being designed to function more like a real camera, taking a snapshot when one presses fully and triggering autofocus when it's half-pressed. The Capture button could also enable advanced functions, such as zooming in or out by swiping over the button.

3. Price and storage: As to the price, speculations suggest that given other tech companies' jacking-up of prices, Apple just might do something totally opposite for their iPhone 16 series. Each model in the iPhone 16 series should pretty much retain the same base price, with the slight hike the iPhone 16 Pro might sustain. Apple could drop the 128GB storage variant for the iPhone 16 Pro and raise the starting price to $1,099, up $100.

Apple Watch Series 10: Potential features

1. Larger sizes: 2024 could be a big deal for Apple products as the Apple Watch Series 10 could get its biggest design change since the Series 7. Sources close to the matter have indicated Apple will increase the size of the watches to 45mm and 49mm from the current 41mm and 45mm options. The Series 10 might sport a screen size of 2 inches, which would make this model the biggest Apple Watch ever to this day, but with thinner bezels.
2. Health tracking: One of the most anticipated features is sleep apnea detection and blood pressure monitoring. These are said still to be in testing, with a possibility of not making the final product. Mark Gurman stated that the features "aren't working well in testing" with Apple having an ongoing case against Masimo Corp over patent infringement.
