Bentley Bentayga Speed Just Beat Lamborghini Urus To The Fastest Production SUV Title By 1 Km/h
The Bentley Bentayga Speed is the fastest production SUV ever. It beat the Lamborghini Urus&rsquo by just 1 kmph or 05 mph more. The SUV is set to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in a few weeks.
Lamborghini had left no stone unturned to ensure its first ever SUV offering in the form of the Lamborghini Urus perfectly replicated the company¡¯s philosophy. That is also why since its inception, the Urus had been the fastest ever production SUV. Though its reign has been cut short quite abruptly now and the one to do so is the cooler version of the Bentley Bentayga. Meet the new title holder - the Bentley Bentayga Speed.
Like every other luxury vehicle, a step-up version for the Bentayga had been anticipated for long. And as the name suggests, with the Bentayga Speed, Bentley planned to go faster, increasing the top speed as well as the acceleration numbers of the SUV in comparison with the earlier model.

But it didn¡¯t stop there. The Bentayga Speed went on to beat the Lamborghini Urus¡¯ timing as well by as thin of a margin as possible. Just 1 kmph (or 0.5 mph) more to bag the title of the fastest production SUV ever. Much like a race in a Fast and Furious movie, right?
Powering these new numbers is a 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged twelve-cylinder engine with 626 horsepower and 900 Nm torque, not too aggressive gains over the original Bentayga but still enough to reach 100 kmph in less than 4 seconds. The swiftness is kept intact at higher speeds, with the SUV able to reach 306 kmph. The Urus held the record at 305 kmph.

Of course, there are several other changes in the Bentayga Speed. The exhaust is now louder than before, an eight-speed automatic transmission as well as a Sports mode has been added to churn out faster responses from the engine. The suspension set up has been revised and is not stiffer.
The styling gets modified as well, with a new 22-inch, 10-spoke wheel design hiding the carbon-ceramic brakes. The headlights, taillights, and grille finishes get a smoked finish while the cabin gets a new Alcantara trim, topped with a ¡°Speed¡± badge on the passenger¡¯s side dash.
No information on the pricing of the Bentayga Speed is available as of now but it is set to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in a few weeks.
