Google Pixel Pixel 8 Pro - Features and specifications
The biggest thing to come out of the Pixel series is the fact that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will receive seven years of OS and security upgrades - a lot more than all of its competitors.
The most surprising element of the Pixel 8 Pro is the introduction of the temperature sensor. The latest Pro device is supported by Tensor G3 sensor that makes a lot of AI capabilities possible. Google claims that this temperature sensor may be used to scan beverages and surfaces. In addition, the company claims to have applied to the FDA for body temperature sensing.
The Pixel 8 Pro gets display upgrades with the new "Super Actua" technology. It sports a 6.7-inch screen and new curved edges instead of a fully flat screen. In addition, only the Pixel 8 Pro has an LTPO display that can adapt refresh rates between 1Hz to 120Hz based on your needs.
The phone supports brightness of 2,400 nits. In comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro has 2,000 nits of brightness. Just like the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro also gets a facial recognition upgrade and it may now be used to make payments.

In the camera department, the Pixel 8 Pro has 50 MP main camera sensor and a 5x telephoto module with a 48 MP lens. In addition, there's also a 48 MP ultrawide camera. For selfies, the Pixel 8 Pro has a 10.5 MP camera, with autofocus this time. The Pro capabilities also grant users the ability to control focus, shutter speed, decide which lens is being used, and access 50 MP JPEG or RAW shooting straight from the camera app.
The Photos app also adds special features including the ability to choose the best face for subjects out of multiple pictures to create the final frame. The Audio Magic eraser can isolate distracting sounds in videos so that users may minimise them or completely get rid of them. The Pixel 8 will get Magic Editor (a generative AI image editing tool), Video Boost (cloud processing), Night Sight Video, and Zoom Enhance in the near-future.
Google claims that the Assistant can now understand speech better and recognise fillers like "um" more proactively. In addition, the Pixel 8 series can translate web pages on Chrome and read them aloud to users.

The Pixel 8 Pro may be pre-ordered for ?106,999 on Flipkart and will be available for purchase starting October 12. The Pixel 8 Pro has a matte finish on the back glass panel and will be available in obsidian black, porcelain and new light blue "bay" colour.
