Another partial network outage that appears to be stopping users from making or receiving calls has been reported by some Three UK (VodafoneThree) subscribers this morning. The problem affects voicemail access and virtual operators (e.g., iD Mobile, Smarty, etc.).
The issue began at around 8 am this morning and is still strong. It also affects SMS messaging and comes after a similar event at the beginning of this year (here). When customers try to call Three UK, they will hear nothing, and the call won't connect, but their data (mobile broadband) connectivity will still work.
"We are aware of an issue affecting voice services and are working hard to fix it," a Three UK representative posted on social media. Data services are operating as they should. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
